The only ‘Instagram tips’ I listen to are those published by Instagram themselves, and these are literal screenshots of the best practices and suggestions currently available. You can visit them on your own account by going to 'Professional Dashboard' and clicking through the options available.
.
A few key takeaways for me are:
Try and create 10 reels or more per month.
Use trending audio whenever possible (harder if you're scheduling ahead).
Track when your followers are active, apparently this still makes a difference.
Make sure to be responsive to comments.
Add a location if you can.
And this is Instagram's list of things to avoid:

I think this last point is especially interesting! Don't appear spammy by asking people to like, share and comment. Instagram algorithms will pick up on this and not recommend it. Write as if you're writing to real people, and you won't go far wrong...
If you'd like extra support with your small business social media, I offer brand audits, coaching, one off sessions and ongoing content creation packages.

I've been working in content creation for a decade and am fascinated in the difference between surface-level marketing and that which has real depth and heart to it.Â

IÂ only work alongside people who have similar values to mine, so that I can deeply understand your passion and write with integrity when creating your content. I have to be on board with the vision - that's a non-negotiable for me!Â
I'm currently based in Falmouth, Cornwall, but also work remotely, so message from wherever you are in the world!Â
The best way to gauge if we're a good fit for each other is to book in a call or grab a coffee - I'd love to meet you and hear about what you do.
