September Awareness Days

Every month I put together a list of trending awareness days that you could reference or theme your small business content around, if it feels like a good fit with your normal marketing style and tone of voice.

Get creative with your interpretation of these days... how can you add a specific twist which adds value or shows personality?

In September, of course we also have the more general 'back to school' feeling and the turning seasons. I always like to add this in as I feel it strongly every year!

Here are the recognised events:

Awareness Months for September 2025:

There are a few themes that stretch across the whole month, and you could create a whole series of blogs, podcast topics, email newsletters or social media posts around them.

Just think about how to make them relatable to your ideal clients:

Slow September - could you show a step by step process, or focus on mindful moments?

Secondhand September - is upcycling or revisiting something a theme in your business?

Organic September - not just food based!

Sourdough September - niche, but who doesn't love sourdough? A one-off reference perhaps?

26 September – Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

28 September – World Rivers Day
